NATIVE PAPAYA
The Andean papaya is a fruit native to Peru, which is cultivated in the Andean areas of our Huánuco region. It is characterized by its sweet and sour taste, its intense aroma, and its high nutritional value. It contains vitamins A and C, fiber, potassium, magnesium, and is an antioxidant. Additionally, it has a digestive enzyme called "papain," which aids in digestion. It is an excellent option for the international market, as 80% of its annual production is organic and intended for export.
