THE REGIONAL COUNCIL APPROVES THE REGIONAL ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE HUÁNUCO REGIONAL TOURISM ADVISORY COMMITTEE (CCRT HUÁNUCO)

Today, at the regular session of August, the plenary of the Regional Council of Huánuco unanimously approved the Regional Ordinance establishing the Regional Advisory Committee on Tourism of Huánuco.
The purpose of the Regional Tourism Advisory Committee is to formulate recommendations on policy guidelines related to regional tourism activity; establish channels of communication between the public and private sectors to achieve a joint vision on regional tourism activity; provide feedback on regional plans, programmes, projects and investments; propose actions to facilitate tourism, protect and defend tourists; and other related consultations to be considered.
In reference to this topic, the plenary also approved the following: To entrust the Regional Directorate for Foreign Trade and Tourism with the drafting of the Rules of Procedure within sixty calendar days of the entry into force of this regional standard, which will be approved by Regional Decree.

The committee shall consist of the members of the provincial municipalities of the department, as well as universities, public and private institutions, as well as representatives of civil society.
The opinion of the project was supported by the president of the Ordinary Commission for Economic Development of the Regional Council, Roy Kenedy Tolentino Fabián and by the head of the Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Lic. Catherine Sánchez Alvarado, as well as by the tourism specialist, Sheyla Cueva Martin.
